Dalavaipuram Renewables Pvt. Ltd. (DRPL), one of the Continuum Green Energy Hybrid initiatives, appointed Waaree RTL for engineering, procurement, and construction of a 153.6 MW ground-mounted solar project in Tuticorin district, Tamil Nadu. It is a strategic component of a hybrid wind-solar scheme designed to enhance regional energy security. Waaree completed this mega-scale utility project on time, incorporating performance-based solar infrastructure that enhances grid resilience and adoption of renewables. The installation showcases Waaree's expertise in translating high-level energy ambitions into practical reality.
Implementing a mega-scale solar installation in a hybrid power configuration required precision engineering, optimal land use, and robust infrastructure designed to integrate seamlessly with wind generation systems while maintaining uptime and cost competitiveness.
DRPL chose Waaree RTL for its established hybrid project track record, high-end solar-tech expertise (bifacial modules, fixed tilts), and ability to provide large-scale, dependable solar infrastructure with performance-focused operational design.
Waaree RTL built a 153.6 MW ground-mounted solar power plant with 545 Wp bifacial mono-crystalline modules with a fixed-tilt MMS at a tilt angle of 5° and strategic strings of 28 modules with a 7.5 m pitch to reduce shading and maximise land utilisation. An Adaptive SCADA system provides real-time monitoring, remote diagnostics, and centralised generation control, enhancing operational transparency and responsiveness. With aggressive hybrid-system planning, the integrated solar solution enhances energy output and supports Tamil Nadu's efforts to decarbonise. The project was delivered on time, with low capital expenditure, while maintaining safety, quality, and performance, demonstrating Waaree's capabilities in deploying utility-scale hybrid energy infrastructure with precision and efficiency.

The DRPL solar plant reached a healthy 153.6 MW capacity with 545 Wp bifacial modules fixed to tilted mounts designed for maximum balance of shading. The system is operational on real-time Adaptive SCADA, which provides open transparency in performance management and rapid diagnostic capability. 7.5 m pitch and 28-module string strategic plan maximised sun capture while land usage was optimised. The installation was completed in a timely manner within budget, prioritising safety, quality, and reliability. Ultimately, the project showcases a high-performing solar facility integrated into a hybrid renewable energy framework, thereby reinforcing energy security and operational efficiency within Tamil Nadu's expanding clean energy system.
Waaree RTL helped DRPL build a high-capacity solar with an innovative design, real-time control, and efficient land utilisation.
